Technical Descriptions
WTR is WekoWater’s own fully electric, self-propelled irrigation machine – the first of its kind on the market. Developed and tested in Denmark, it offers a future-proof solution for sustainable field irrigation.
Below you can read the technical descriptions of selected components that make WTR the irrigation machine of the future.
Feeding tube
The WTR irrigation machine features the traditional feeding tube with Bauer coupling and the well-known stop function.

Drawbar with Nose Wheel
The drawbar on the WTR irrigation machine includes:
- Wire hoist
- Flexible nose wheel
- Electric stop sensor

Water Inlet Drum
The control system allows you to select stop for overpressure and underpressure.
The actuator for opening and closing is electric and supplied by Linak.

Flow Meter
Irrigation based on flow, with the option to adjust speed according to flow.

Turbine
Rosenqvists were the first in the world to develop an irrigation machine powered by a turbine instead of a piston – an invention they held a patent on for many years. It was therefore natural to expand the collaboration and equip the WTR irrigation machine with a Rosenqvists turbine.
- The turbine charges and maintains the battery. At 25–30 km/h, it uses approx. 20–25% of the battery’s capacity.
- Generator + Controller (1000 W permanent magnet generator)
- Bypass via Linak actuator
- Control system ensures correct battery voltage

Battery
The irrigation machine is electrically driven and therefore equipped with a battery mounted underneath the machine.
- 24 V battery, 230 Ah
- 2 pcs. 12 V standard tractor batteries

Bypass Valve
- Linak actuator for bypass
- Switch function for gun or boom irrigation
- Nelson Big Gun SR150
